Why is my manicure chipping?

Please don’t worry or get discouraged – achieving a perfect dipping manicure just takes a bit of practice at first. It gets easier over time.

If your manicure chips or develops cracks, there can be several reasons:

One very important step is thoroughly removing the invisible cuticle.
If you accidentally dip over it, lifting can occur – as the nail grows, the cuticle moves, which can cause the powder layers to detach.
This often leads to small cracks or chipping, even if they’re not immediately visible.

Also, make sure to apply base and top coat in very thin layers – thick layers can negatively affect durability.

We also recommend using a bit more activator and sealing the tips of your nails carefully to make your manicure last longer.
