Can I apply a base coat or nail hardener underneath the Gel Strips?

In general, we recommend applying the Gel Strips directly onto the prepared natural nail, as this provides the best adhesion.

However, using a nail hardener is possible. Make sure not to apply it onto the cuticles, as this may affect durability. Once the nail hardener has completely dried, you should lightly buff the nail surface so the Gel Strips can adhere optimally.

A classic base coat, however, is not recommended, as it may negatively affect the adhesion of the Gel Strips.
