The gel strips harden not only in the UV LED lamp, but also when exposed to natural UV light (sunlight or even just normal daylight). However, they should only be hardened after they have been glued to the nail and filed into shape, as otherwise their durability will suffer. We therefore recommend additionally to cover the gel strips with the protective cover between each application step in order to protect them from natural UV light.
